Since being reintroduced to the global market in 2016, Demag all terrain cranes have continued to gain traction among lift and access companies.

The new six axle Demag AC 300-6 all-terrain crane, boasts a 300 tonne classification, and features an 80 metre main boom. It is the first crane of its size in the Demag range equipped with a luffing jib.

The five-axle, AC 220-5 features a 78 metre main boom length, as well as a single engine concept, start-stop function and an intelligent motor management system design to reduce operation cost.

The AC 160-5 is a compact crane with a total length of 14 metres, a main boom length of 68 metres and a carrier width of 2.75 metres. The crane also features all-axle steering, independent rear axle steering and dynamic launch control.

All three cranes also feature the optional IC-1 Plus control system that calculates the crane’s lifting capacity for every boom position as a function of the superstructure’s slewing angle. This means the lifting capacity for a specific radius is no longer limited to the lowest value for a pre-calculated 360 degree lifting capacity. Instead, the crane can always take full advantage of the maximum available lifting capacity.

“We know our customers will be impressed with the performance and quality of these new all-terrain cranes,” Finkle said.

Cropac Equipment was founder in 1977 and has locations in Ontario, Québec, and Alberta. The company’s headquarters is located in Oakville, Ontario.

The company sells hydraulic truck cranes, all-terrain cranes, rough-terrain cranes, crawler cranes and boom trucks.
